Bloodshed In Gulf… Americans Among The Fallen 🚨
In the wake of U.S. strikes on Iran over the weekend, three U.S. service members were killed and five others wounded during Iranian attacks, marking the first confirmed American combat deaths since the latest escalation between Washington and Tehran.
The casualties came amid expanding retaliatory strikes following coordinated U.S. and Israeli military operations targeting Iranian military infrastructure and senior leadership.
Iran has responded with missile and drone attacks on U.S. positions and allied targets across the region, raising fears of a broader Middle East conflict. The violence has prompted heightened security measures, regional airspace disruptions and renewed international calls for de-escalation as global leaders warn of mounting civilian casualties and economic fallout.

Melissa Barrera Responds as Protests Rock Scream 7 Premiere
Actress Melissa Barrera has spoken out after protesters gathered outside the Los Angeles premiere of Scream 7, more than two years after she was fired from the franchise. Demonstrators accused the studio of silencing actors who speak out on political issues.
Barrera was dismissed from the film in 2023 over social media posts that were critical of the Gaza conflict. The controversy triggered a wave of departures and creative changes within the film, including co-star Jenna Ortega’s exit.
Dems Bet on Tejano Star Bobby Pulido in South Texas Race
Democrats are turning to Bobby Pulido, a Latin Grammy-winning Tejano music star, as a high-profile candidate in a pivotal South Texas congressional race they hope will help reverse recent losses among Latino voters.
Pulido, a longtime cultural figure in the Rio Grande Valley, is leveraging his local roots and celebrity appeal as he campaigns in Texas’ 15th District, a seat now held by Republican Rep. Monica De La Cruz and increasingly tilted toward the GOP. Party leaders view Pulido as a moderate voice capable of reconnecting with Latino voters.
Volunteers Detained at San Diego Immigration Court
Several immigration court volunteers in San Diego were detained, cited, and removed from a federal building this week as authorities enforced anti-loitering rules that advocates say had not previously been applied.
The volunteers, many of them faith-based observers who accompany immigrants to hearings and ICE check-ins, said they were ordered to leave hallways where they had been allowed to stand for months. When some returned after reviewing posted rules, federal officers detained them and issued citations carrying fines of about $280 for failing to comply with posted signage.
U.S. Government Blacklists Anthropic in Escalating AI Showdown
The Trump administration has barred AI company Anthropic from all federal contracts after a high-stakes standoff over how its technology can be used by the military and intelligence agencies.
Officials labeled the company a “supply chain risk” to national security after it refused to remove safeguards preventing its AI system, Claude, from being used for domestic mass surveillance or fully autonomous weapons systems. The designation effectively blocks federal agencies and defense contractors from working with Anthropic, with a six-month phaseout period already underway.
The Evolution From Walkouts To Hashtags
The East L.A. Walkouts, known as the “Blowouts,” weren’t just about education; they were a collective declaration that Chicano youth mattered. Their protest was fueled by word of mouth, community ties, and the kind of solidarity that spread from classrooms to neighborhoods.
That same spirit of unity, that electric sense of belonging, still exists today. It has simply evolved. Where once students gathered on school lawns, now they gather on screens. Where news of a protest once spread through flyers or whispered plans among friends, it now travels through posts, hashtags, and livestreams.
For Subscribers: TJ Churches Help Asylum Seekers
Driving up a small hill on a dirt road just 24 minutes from the San Ysidro border, the turn from the main street is easy to miss. In the rainy season, the dirt road becomes a muddy river. Small cars daring to drive through can wind up missing a tire by the end of the short trek. But those who make it to the top will find refuge at a small church called Templo Embajadores de Jesús.
Such is the case for thousands of migrants. Whether you are from the north or south side of the U.S.-Mexico border, you are welcomed here with open arms.
