Oregon Governor Vows To Prosecute Federal Agents
Oregon Governor Tina Kotek has threatened to investigate and prosecute federal agents enforcing immigration laws in the state. Accusing the Department of Homeland Security of “violent actions” and “reckless tactics,” Kotek emphasized that Oregon will hold federal officers accountable for any misconduct, including violations of state law.
The governor’s stance reflects ongoing tensions between state and federal approaches to immigration enforcement.
Latinos Disapprove Of Trump’s Immigration Policies
A Pew Research Center survey reveals that 70% of Latinos disapprove of President Trump’s job performance, with 65% critical of his immigration policies. The study highlights growing dissatisfaction among Latinos, with 68% saying their situation in the U.S. has worsened over the past year.
Trump’s aggressive deportation tactics and economic policies have fueled these negative perceptions. While 81% of Latino Trump voters approve of his presidency, nearly all Harris voters disapprove.
