Selena Exhibit Honors Tejano Queen At Grammy Museum
A special exhibition titled Selena: From Texas to the World has opened at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, showcasing personal artifacts and memorabilia from the late Tejano music icon Selena Quintanilla-Pérez.
The display includes iconic outfits, instruments from her band Los Dinos, her Grammy and Lifetime Achievement Awards, and intimate items like her cellphone and hand-drawn fashion sketches, many of which are being shown outside of Texas for the first time.
Brandon Maxwell Of Daily Chela Tapped To Direct Chicano Music Fest Doc
Brandon Loran Maxwell, the award winning indie director behind American Homeboy (Apple TV) and Defiant History (Tubi), along with his multimedia company Chela Media, has been tapped to produce the official documentary about the annual Chicano Music Festival.
The documentary short, currently untitled, will chronicle the festival’s powerful role in preserving and celebrating Chicano musical heritage, featuring an extraordinary lineup. Among them Conejo, Baby Bash and Mr. Lil One, alongside legendary acts such as The Temptations, Tierra Legacy, The Delfonics, Los Yesterdays, Cadetes De Linares, Sonora Dinamita, Second Chance, Irene Diaz, and more.
A Mistaken Deportation, and a Student’s Fight to Return
What started as a joyful Thanksgiving homecoming became a nightmare for Babson College freshman Any Lucia Lopez Belloza. The 19-year-old, who emigrated from Honduras as a child and earned a full scholarship to one of Massachusetts’ top business schools, found herself detained and abruptly deported when she arrived at Boston’s Logan Airport.
Instead of reuniting with her family, Lopez Belloza was whisked out of the country in violation of a federal court order, a bureaucratic blunder so glaring that it led to a rare public apology from the U.S. government.

The European Union and the Mercosur trade bloc of South American nations have formally signed a long-anticipated free trade agreement, marking a significant milestone in international commerce after more than a quarter-century of negotiations.
